As the Anthropocene quickly accelerates away from an an industrial society , it is time to retrofit idle, often prominent industrial artifacts  and their wasted infrastructural landscapes set within communities into culturally stimulating spaces that embody more than just economic, environmental and aesthetic benefits of adaptive reuse, building upon the collective memory of these communities with rooted yet speculative architecture. This urban approach could potentially save stagnant post-industrial communities facing uncertain futures as the majority of humans migrate to metropoles, and as climate change continues to seriously question their viability.
