MIELE

It gives me great pleasure to introduce, from the land of milk and architecture, studio_MIELE or as one would say in Italian, the studio of Honey. Here is the culmination of great trial and tribulation, travel versus “trapped-in-place”, toil and triumph, thoughtful provocations sometime proceeding with trepidation, terrific designs often conceived under terrible conditions, and yet this group always persevered, without getting stung, despite all that has been thrown at them. Working with this studio has been truly rewarding. Coronavirus landed on them swiftly changing many of their plans, but they handled it all with aplomb. Life gave them lemons, and they somehow were able to make honey. I am so proud of their output as they diligently designed together like worker bees. They truly had the hive mentality, treating each other’s successes as their own. Sticking together through all the good times and the bad. Encouraging one another, rising the tides, raising all boats, developing provocative positions and delicious designs. It has made me proud. It makes me feel good about the future, knowing that this group will soon be taking that very future by the reigns and steer-heading us toward great new beginnings. Working with this group has been many things,

but most of all it has been…swee_T

Thank you from the bottom of my heart and the bottom of the honey jar,

Tom di Santo
